1. Mandatory Fields
The following fields are required for SKU creation:
SKU Code: Unique identifier for the product
SKU Description: Detailed description of the product
TEST: Custom mandatory fields can be added as per necessity
2. Field Groups and Descriptions
2.1 Basic Product Information
SKU Type: Classification of the SKU
SKU Class/Group/Category/Sub-Category: Hierarchical classification for organizing products
Brand: Manufacturer or brand name
SKU Reference: Additional reference number or code
2.2 Physical Attributes
Size Type/Size: Product size classification and specific size
Dimensions: Length, Breadth, Height (in cm)
Weight: Product weight in kg
Color: Product color
Style Name: Style or variant identifier
2.3 Inventory Controls
Min/Max Norm Quantity: Minimum and maximum stocking levels
Put Zone: Designated storage area in the warehouse
Load Unit Handling: Whether special handling is required
UOM (Unit of Measure): Standard unit for the product (pieces, kg, liters, etc.)
2.4 Pricing Information
Cost Price: Purchase cost of the item
Price: Selling price
MRP: Maximum Retail Price
2.5 Taxation & Accounting
TAX Name: Applicable tax category
HSN Code: Harmonized System Nomenclature code for tax classification
GL Code: General Ledger code for accounting purposes
Invoice Group: Grouping for invoice purposes
2.6 Product Tracking
Batch Based: Enable this flag if the product needs to be tracked by batches. This is important for products where lot tracking is required for quality or regulatory purposes.
Serialized: Enable if each unit needs a unique serial number
Barcode/EAN Number: Product identification codes
2.7 Quality & Compliance
QC Required: Whether quality check is needed
Scan for Picking: Scanning requirements during picking process
Product Shelf Life: Total shelf life in days
Customer Shelf Life: Shelf life guaranteed to customer
Minimum Shelf Life: Minimum acceptable shelf life
2.8 Status Controls
Status: Whether the SKU is active or inactive
Block For PO: Whether purchasing is blocked
Receipt Tolerance: Acceptable variance in received quantities
3. Special Considerations
Batch Tracking: Enable the "Batch Based" flag for:
Products with expiration dates
Items requiring traceability
Regulated products requiring lot control
Products where quality may vary between production runs
Mandatory Field Completion: Ensure all fields marked with an asterisk (*) are completed before submission. Custom mandatory fields can be added based on requirement.
Image URL: Include product images when available for better visual identification.
Unique Identifiers: Ensure SKU Code is unique across the system to prevent duplicates.
Here we can see the Navigation to the SKU Master in UI.





SKU Creation using UPLOAD forms ( Bulk Upload)





Now navigate back to "Uploads" page.
Ensure the "SKU" form is chosen in the dropdown.




Uploads Status :
1. Completed - Successfully uploaded the file, and can see the details in Location Master.
2. Invalid - Check if the format of the uploaded file, matches the selected Form in the dropdown.
3. Failed - Download the Failed file by clicking on it. This file shows the reasons for failure in the last column of the file. Do not use this same file to upload, change the details in file uploaded earlier or download new excel file and try again.
