Accessing and Navigating the Daily Log on dailylog.whitepinecamp.fyi
Learn how to access and navigate the daily transaction log on dailylog.whitepinecamp.fyi
In this guide, we'll learn how to navigate the login process for a specific website using Google Chrome and Bitwarden. We'll explore how to access the correct credentials for dailylog.whitepinecamp.fyi, ensuring you can log in without confusion. Additionally, we'll cover how to interact with the website's submission form and view the transaction log sheet without making unintended changes. This process will help you manage your interactions with the site efficiently and securely.
Let's get started
There is a bookmark in Google Chrome, second from the left on the bookmark bar, that takes you to this website.

If prompted to sign in, the username and password are in Bitwarden, but unfortunately, Bitwarden won't autofill this because it's a pop-out thingy (that is my scientific explanation of what I don't actually understand). No problem - click on the Bitwarden icon, and we'll go copy what we need.

Unfortunately, it lists the main documentation website's credentials at the top instead of this branch's. These are separate credentials. Go to the search bar.

Type "daily" to access dailylog.whitepinecamp.fyi.

That's the one you want. I'll click it to open and show you.
The username:

It's all one word, all lowercase: toomanchickens. I'm going to click to reveal the password so you can see it. 👀

I'm not being overly cautious with this password right now.

From here, click the button that looks like stacked papers. This will copy your password, and then you can paste it.

Behold - A Better Way!
There's something else you can do. 👀

Click on the username field, place your cursor there, and type: /log

The submission form is located on the front page. 😎
You need to complete this for each transaction. At the bottom, there are two buttons. These lead to a page with a link to the overview guide on the daily transaction log, covering the form and the sheet.

It includes a written summary of the sheet for a quick overview. On the main page, scroll to the bottom, and the button on the right will take you to an embedded view of the sheet. This view cannot be edited directly, which I prefer because I like to review it frequently.

While it's not the end of the world if I accidentally change something unintentionally, it's not something I want to happen carelessly. But I like being able to check the sheet after filling out the form. This way, I can do it without accidentally changing anything or worrying about it.

It includes a link to the sheet in case you need to correct any mistakes made during submission. I've misclicked a few times and needed to make changes. This is nice, because we can quickly check our work without worrying about misclicking, but also quickly access the sheet for editing if needed.
Enjoy!
