By Robin Dickinson

In this guide, we'll learn how to navigate and manage a variety of educational products and resources within Member Vault. Understanding how to organize products, control visibility, and guide users through different learning paths can help you create a smoother experience for both students and parents.

Products are Arranged in Ladders

The goal in general is to get people to gradually climb up the ladders of products from something free or inexpensive so something more expensive until they eventually reach the top of the ladder.

Let's get started

Here is a tour of our products. I'm currently in Member Vault. We do not have active products visible to everyone. Only logged-in users can see them if they click on other products. This prevents children from making purchases with their parents' cards and avoids complaints.

1
We don't have any active products because those ones are visible to kids who are logged in and they might accidentally sign up...parents don't like that.
Step #1: We don't have any active products because those ones are visible to kids who are logged in and they might accidentally sign up...parents don't like that.

Instead we just have invisible products, which we can provide a link for but people don't see unless we share them.

Dr. Robin's Anatomy Coloring Book for Serious Young Scientists is available for download. I think that one is ready to be tested, so I'll send it for testing. That is a paid download but also a good place to start for people to eventually purchases courses. But they can also work up to the download from a freebie.

The goal of both is to encourage people to buy the full anatomy course, which is currently available for the littles but not for the bigs. Or, if they want to purchase the full MedPath program, that's fine. However, it's a big commitment, so we don't expect it.

Next we have the samples for MedPath. I think Jessica called it a Kickstart bundle. I’m not sure; I should probably fix that.

This is a separate product unrelated to anything else, called the Family Health Organizer. It doesn't fit into any other category. I made it for something else, and thought we might as well pay for it too. We have never listed or promoted it, so it would be good to sell it at some point.

The Sample Curated Video Library allows people to see what the Curated Video Library offers. Currently, it's only available in email number 20 or so of the Kickstart guide. We should consider whether to include that list elsewhere. The Curated Video Library is a great feature that people may not fully understand, so we might need to explain it at some point. Maybe I'll put this in an email.

They received at least one or two emails afterward, or possibly a few more. There appears to be a timed drip.
