Payment Notation Snippets (Macros, Begone!)

Gentlemen, it is 1:30 a.m. I no longer enjoy staying late at the office but I have a good reason to be tonight. Glitter has been updated, and I can't believe it. It's amazing.

I wanted to create a quick guide to demonstrate something, allowing me to try out my new toy. Alright, I'm going to show you what I've done in Text Blaze.

I have converted all our macros into Text Blaze snippets.

The macros are gone, so you no longer type out those payment notations using keyboard buttons. Instead, use snippets - like this:

Step #1: Example snippet — Example snippet

I created a document that explains what each one is.

Step #2: It will be printed. I'll put it on the office wall. — It will be printed. I'll put it on the office wall.

You can quickly reference this anytime you need. It should be easy to remember, though.

Start with a slash. "CPD" stands for card point deposit, "CPB" is card point balance, "CHD" means check deposit, and so on. That is essentially the plan here.

By the way, snippets are not case sensitive 😎

Example

Let's say I go to receive a payment.

Step #3: Click on "New Transactions" — Click on "New Transactions"

Step #4: Click on "Receive Payments" — Click on "Receive Payments"

(Tim realizes he needs something copied for this to work right)

We will copy the word "chicken."

Highlight and copy "chicken"

I will type /cpd, which automatically inputs my notation and pastes whatever I have copied, just like the macro did.

That's great.

Step #8: LOL I look hilarious — LOL I look hilarious

You'll have that on the office wall to the left, available for reference anytime you need it.
