How to cancel an order that has been picked not yet packed

In this guide you will learn on how to cancel a order that has been picked but has not yet been packed and processed by the Warehouse Team.

After this guide you should be able to:

  • Confidently reverse the order from "Orders requiring shipping"

  • Confidently edit the sales order allocation to ensure the stock gets returned to it's correct bin location.

  • Confidently cancel an order.

Step 1: Reversing the pick

Before cancelling an order that has been picked you must ensure that the order isn't on the "Orders requiring shipping" screen as it will not allow you to edit the sales order. You must also ensure that you communicate the cancelation to the Warehouse Team so that the order doesn't get accidently processed and shipped.

Click onto the "Despatch" module in the main navigation sidebar, this should bring you to the "Orders Requiring Picking".

Click the "Orders Requiring Shipping" tab to view all the active picked orders.

When on the "Orders Requiring Shipping" screen search the order number you are trying to cancel by clicking on the "Order no." field and typing your order number in.

Once the order is found click on the order to select it (the order should get highlighted blue).

Once the order has been selected click the "Cancel Despatch" button (represented by a red X icon) in the top left corner of the screen.

Once the "Cancel Despatch" button has been clicked a pop up will appear, press the "Yes" button. this will revert the order back to the "Orders Requiring Picking" screen ready for the next step.

Step 2: Canceling the order

After you have reverted your order it will now appear in the "Orders Requiring Picking" Navigate to the "Orders Requiring Picking" tab.

Once on the "Orders Requiring Picking" screen, search the order number you are trying to cancel by clicking on the "Order no." field and typing your order number in.

Once the order is selected press the "Edit Sales Order" to open up the sales order screen

To deallocate stock from a sales order press "Allocation"

These 3 buttons should now appear on the bottom left of the screen, press the middle one.

A new screen should now appear, to delete the allocation from a product line you want to press the "Delete" button located at the bottom left of the screen. make sure that you do this for every line otherwise you will not be able to cancel the order.

Click Close to exit the allocation window.

After closing out of the the "Allocation lines" tab the cancel button should now be available, press the button to cancel the order.
