/sub is wonderful, ensuring consistency with regards to the subtotal and resort fee
The easiest and most consistent way to end an invoice is as follows:
Once you have finished entering the cabin lines—meaning any lines related to the reservation dates and cabin rates—go to the next line below.

When you type /sub, the following occurs instantly:

The subtotal was placed just below the cabin lines. This makes it easy for both us and the guest to see where their deposit came from. The deposit is always half of the subtotal, which means half of the cabin fees. It does not include resort fees, taxes, or pet fees. I prefer pet fees and resort fees to appear below the subtotal. Adding a blank line between the subtotal and any fees improves visual clarity and separation.
Note: sometimes if a guest reserves online and adds a pet fee, the pet fee needs to go before the subtotal because of the way eviivo accounts for it. Otherwise, pet fees should go below the subtotal, ideally.
