In this guide, we'll learn how to create a date exception for a location in BakeSmart. This process allows you to adjust operating hours for specific dates, such as holidays or special events. We'll walk through setting up an exception for February 14th, extending store hours at Crosstown and Easttown locations. This ensures your business can accommodate special schedules efficiently.
Let's get started
Here's how to create a date exception for a location in BakeSmart. From the home screen, click on Settings.

It will take you to the Locations tab by default.

Click on Exceptions. Then, click Add Exception.

Name the exception.

If it's a date range, select the start and end dates of the exception.

I will choose a single day, February 14th.

We will extend our hours. Instead of closing at 6 PM, we will close at 11 PM.

This will be at both the Crosstown and Easttown locations.

Save that setting. Now, I have a date exception for Friday, February 14th, with both stores open from 8 AM to 11 PM.
