How to File an Amazon Claim: A Step-by-Step Guide
Learn how to efficiently file a claim on Amazon using Shopify and tracking spreadsheets. Follow our step-by-step guide to ensure your claims are processed smoothly.
In this guide, we'll learn how to efficiently file a claim for undelivered packages using Shopify, ship.Amazon, and a tracking spreadsheet called Amazon Claims. This process involves gathering necessary order details, tracking information, and attaching a VAT invoice. By following these steps, you can ensure accurate and organized claim submissions, helping to manage and resolve delivery issues effectively.
Let's get started
First, you will need three tabs. You will need the Shopify tab, the ship.Amazon tab, and our tracking spreadsheet called Amazon Claims.

First, pull up the order. Simply search for the order using the order number provided.

Open the order, and you'll see the notes explaining why we're making the claim. Copy the order number into our sheet, then add the tracking number.

This sheet helps us track all the claims.
Next, take the tracking number and look it up in the Amazon shipping portal.

You can see it's delayed, so we'll click here to file a claim.

We need to input a few details. First, input the value of the package.

We can take this value, copy it, and paste it in.

There are two reasons we make a claim: delivery issues or damage. It has not been delivered. The final step is to attach a VAT invoice. To do this, take a screenshot of the order page.

We need to include all the details, such as the address, tracking number, and order number. After saving the screenshot, return here and click "Add Attachment."

I always save it to the desktop, so I know the latest screenshot will be the one I need. You can also check it to ensure it matches the tracking number. Once that's done, click "File Claim."

And that completes the process.
