How to Integrate Roaz AI with Shopify: A Step-by-Step Guide
Learn how to seamlessly integrate Roaz AI with Shopify by following this comprehensive step-by-step guide. Ensure accurate data transfer and machine learning model training with the right API scopes.
In this guide, we'll learn how to set up and configure a custom app in Shopify to integrate with Roaz AI. This process involves navigating the Shopify admin page to create an app, configuring necessary API scopes, and ensuring the app has the correct permissions to read data. We'll also cover how to obtain and use an access token to connect Shopify with Roaz AI, enabling seamless data transfer for machine learning model training.
Let's get started
When you reach the Shopify admin page, navigate to the sidebar on the left. Click on "Apps," then select "App and Sales Channel Settings."

Next, click on "Develop Apps," then "Create an App," and name it "ROAS AI."

Click on "Configure Admin API Scopes." Here, select all the permissions ROAS AI needs to build and train machine learning models accurately and to pass precise data back to Meta.

First, look for the "Read Customers" scope. You can type in "Read Customers" to find it.

Now do the same for the remaining permissions:
read_discounts
read_files
read_inventory
read_products
read_returns
read_orders
After completing this, click Save.

Go back to Overview, then click Install App.

When you click "Install," an access token will be provided. This token is visible only once, so be sure to copy it. Next, go to the Roaz app. Navigate to Settings, then Integrations, and select Shopify.

Paste the access token and ensure you use the myshopify.com URL for the shop URL.

Once connected, it will authenticate, and we're good to go.
