If you find an element you love but it doesn't quite match the aesthetic of your existing design, you can use Canva's Copy style feature. This tool uses AI to magically adjust the style and color of one element to match another. Here's how to do it.
Add and Prepare Your Element
First, bring the new graphic into your workspace and make sure it's visible.
1
Browse the Elements tab and click an image to add it to your design.

2
Click the newly added element on your canvas to select it.

3
Click the color tile in the top toolbar to open the color options.

4
Select a contrasting color from the sidebar to ensure the element is clearly visible against your background.

Match the Styles
Now, apply the style from your preferred reference element to your new graphic.
5
Select the original element whose style you want to duplicate, then click the Copy style (paintbrush) icon in the top toolbar.

A message will indicate that the style is copied. 2.
6
Hover over your new element and click it to apply the copied style.

Once the process is complete, your elements will share a cohesive style and color palette. The match might not be exact, but it will be remarkably close, allowing you to seamlessly arrange them in your composition.
