How to Place a Regular or Hot Part Order with Karman Cabinetry
Learn the step-by-step process to place a hot part order with Karman Cabinetry, including navigating KarmanQuote.com and selecting the right options for your order.
In this guide, we'll learn how to place a hot part or rush order with Karman Cabinetry. Each cabinet manufacturer has a unique process for different types of orders, such as hot part orders, warranty orders, or regular quote orders. Understanding these can streamline your ordering experience. We'll focus on navigating the KarmanQuote.com platform to efficiently place an order.
Let's get started
First, go to KarmanQuote.com

In the top left, you will see "New Quote." Highlight "New Quote" and click on it.

The new quote pop-up will appear. The system will then prompt you to create a PO for your new order.

We always use our client's last name as our purchase orders. Enter the client's last name, HP (for hot part), and number the PO. After entering the purchase order name and number, click on "Start Quote."

On this page, we need to fill in the various sections. They include shipping information, notes, cabinetry style information, item (or part) information. We will begin with shipping information. You will have two choices under the "Ship-to" drop-down. For Hot Part orders that do not include large cabinet boxes choose our address at the showroom. For Regular orders or Hot Part orders with large cabinet boxes you should choose the address for our storage facility, Old Pueblo.

under the "Bill-to" drop-down you will always choose the address of our showroom for all order types

The "Notes" section is where we will differentiate between Regular & rush Hot Part orders. If it is a Hot Part order you must type "Rush Order" in the Notes section. If it is a Regular order you do not need to type anything - leave the Notes section blank.

Next, we need to enter our cabinetry style information also know as the global options or globals for short.
First, we have the cabinet series choice - Karman Preferred series for framed cabinets or Trapani series for frameless cabinets. We'll click on "Preferred" for this example.

Then choose the Upgrade type. For this example, there are no upgrades so we will skip this drop-down. We need to select the door style. For this example, we'll use the Mesa door style.

Next, we will click the Species drop-down. For our example we will choose rustic maple.

The next step is choosing the finish. For our example we need to find "Sage" in the drop-down menu and click on it. We have no Finish Enhancements or additional Upgrades, so we will skip those.
The discount factor and fuel charge will auto-populate, so we don't need to worry about them. Now, we need to find the item. Today, we're ordering a simple filler, specifically a 6 by 36 filler. We'll type "filler item lookup," and it will provide us with different filler options.

Finally, we will need to input the items or parts needed. Move to the Item Code drop-down and type in the exact nomenclature, SKU, or keyword. You may need to reference the Karman spec book if your keyword searches are too broad. However, a keyword search will bring up another drop-down the Item Code Lookup from which you can choose the correct part needed.

Once you have found the correct part simply click on it to select it. In our example, we will click on "FLF630" to select the filler item that we need.

If you're ordering a door, header, panel, or other size-specific item you will also need to enter the width and height. Our example does not require this so we can scroll down. You can see in the screen shot below that our item has been added and the pricing information has been provided.
If you need to add more items, continue as before, adding as many as you want or need.

If you need to leave the page for any reason you can click "Save Changes." This will allow you leave the site and pick up right where you left off when you are ready to finish your order. When you are finished adding all the parts you need review the entire order to verify that everything is correct. Once you have verified the order you can click "Submit Order".

To confirm that you are ready to actually place the order the system will prompt you to type "ORDER" in the box on their Submit Order pop-up then hit Submit.

You will receive a message confirming that our quote has been released. This indicates that our quote and order were successfully placed. That's all there is to it. We now wait for Karman to send us an official acknowledgement showing the entire order and an estimated delivery date.
