How to Request Advertiser Access to an Artist's Facebook Page
Learn how to request advertiser access to an artist's Facebook page using Facebook Business Manager. Follow step-by-step instructions for both Facebook and Instagram accounts.
In this guide, we'll learn how to request advertiser access to an artist's Facebook / Instagram profiles/page using Facebook's Business Manager. This process is essential for venues and promoters who wish to manage advertisements on behalf of artists. We'll cover the steps to request access, including navigating the Business Manager settings and submitting a request for shared access. Additionally, we'll discuss how to handle situations where an artist only has an Instagram account. By the end, you'll know how to manage access efficiently for your advertising needs.
Let's get started
Go to bussiness.facebook.com/settings, and you should see a page similar to what's on the screen now.
If you don't have a Business Manager account, create one by visiting business.facebook.com. Follow the initial steps to set up your account. Assuming you already have a Business Manager account, go to business.facebook.com.
Go to com forward slash settings. You should see a page with a menu bar on the left. To request advertiser access to a page, click "Pages" in the menu. Then, click the blue "Add" button on the top right.

Press the blue "Add" button to request shared access to a Facebook page.

When you click the button, a pop-up will appear, allowing you to type the artist's name or paste their Facebook URL. You only need to request access to the Facebook page because artists often link their Facebook and Instagram accounts. As such, you will be able to promote on both their FB & IG handles. If the artist doesn't have a Facebook page, you can request access directly to their Instagram. I'll show you how to do that next. Once the pop-up appears, you can submit your request by typing their name or pasting the Facebook URL.

In this example, I'm using Kevin Hart. I copied and pasted the URL of his Facebook profile or page here.
His name appeared. I tapped on it, and once you've selected the profile, hit next. Now, choose the type of access level you want. Select ads.

When you select ads, insights will automatically appear, and that's okay.

Once you select that and toggle it on, press confirm, and then press doneC

You have submitted advertiser access requests to the artist. Now, the artist needs to approve them.
Keep in mind that you can request access to up to 10 pages at any given time. You can have access to as many pages as you're granted, but you can only send 10 outbound requests at a time. If you exceed this limit, you'll receive an error message indicating too many requests.
Now, as you can see Kevin Hart's Facebook page is at the top of this pending approval request and his Facebook page is linked to his Instagram. You don't need separate requests for Facebook and Instagram because they are connected.

If an artist only has an Instagram account and not a Facebook page, follow similar steps.
But instead of selecting "Pages" on the left, tap on "Instagram Accounts." Click the blue "Add" button and follow the same prompts as for a Facebook page. Once you have access, assign access to the profile you want to manage the advertisement. For example, if you requested access for Avra Friedman, ensure the correct profile is assigned.
She granted it, and it appeared. Tap on "People," then assign individuals by tapping the "Assign People" button within your Business Manager account. If you have several employees or team members in your account and need to grant access to multiple people, simply hit the "Assign People" button and specify who you want to assign. That's it.
