This guide demonstrates how to copy a product variant code from an order in the Despatch module and look up its Bill of Materials (BOM) in the Manufacturing module. Completing this ensures you can quickly verify manufacturing requirements for specific order lines.

This workflow applies to warehouse managers, manufacturing coordinators, and production staff. It is typically used during order fulfillment to check production statuses or material details for items in the picking queue.

Locate the Product Variant in Despatch

Step #1: Click the target order that's part stocked to highlight it. — Click the target order that's part stocked to highlight it.

Step #2: In the Lines section, right-click the product variant code you want to inspect (e.g., PLM-NA-25-RSJM). — In the **Lines** section, right-click the product variant code you want to inspect (e.g., **PLM-NA-25-RSJM**).

Step #3: Select + Copy Cell from the context menu to copy the variant code to your clipboard. — Select **+ Copy Cell** from the context menu to copy the variant code to your clipboard.

Look Up the Bill of Materials in Manufacturing

Step #4: Navigate to the Manufacturing module from the main menu. — Navigate to the **Manufacturing** module from the main menu.

Step #5: Click the Variant code search field within the Manufactured Variants list. — Click the **Variant code** search field within the Manufactured Variants list.

Press Ctrl + V on your keyboard to paste the copied variant code.

Step #8: Open the BOM (Bill of Materials) tab to view the manufacturing components, allocations, and quantities. The free stock quantity field will highlight what is missing to be able to fulfil the order.
