How to Send a Quote with an Embedded Payment Link v2

In this guide, we'll learn how to send a quote to a customer with an embedded payment link. This process includes preparing the quote, generating a payment link, and emailing the quote to the customer. The goal is to make it easy for the customer to review the quote and complete payment directly from the email.

Let's get started

Let's see how to send the quote with an embedded payment link. First, I will search for the customer.

Step #1: Search for (or add) your customer — Search for (or add) your customer

I'm going to use myself here as a test.

Step #2: Double-click on customer — Double-click on customer

Enter or choose a Delivery address

Step #3: Click here — Click here

Let's add a simple product. Let's keep next day services.

When we set up quotes

Step #4:

we automatically get a layout to Output option of 'None'.

Step #5: If Layout To Option is set to anything else (as seen below), please change to 'None' as shown in step 6 — If Layout To Option is set to anything else (as seen below), please change to 'None' as shown in step 6

I will set my layout output to "none" to prevent it from emailing a quote.

Step #6: Click on "None" — Click on "None"

This will prevent any emails being sent before we generate a payment URL

Step #7: Save our Quote — Save our Quote

That's now all finished.

Next, if we go to sales activity, we find my order at the top of the list.

Step #8: Click on "Sales Activity" — Click on "Sales Activity"

As you can see, there is currently no payment link available.

I will request a payment URL.

Step #9: Click on "Request Payment URL" — Click on "Request Payment URL"

Step #10: We now have our payment link. — We now have our payment link.

Step #11: Ensure we are set to Email Output — Ensure we are set to Email Output

Step #12: Select our Quote and click on "Output" button — Select our Quote and click on "Output" button

Step #13: Click on "Quote" — Click on "Quote"

Since we're set to email, it will automatically send out via email from the bottom left-hand corner.

Step #14: Choose Quote (Resincoat) OR Resincoat Solutions before clicking next — Choose Quote (Resincoat) OR Resincoat Solutions before clicking next

Step #15: Check that the Email address is correct and save — Check that the Email address is correct and save

We get a preview of the email which will also have the Quote pdf (containing payment link) attached.

Step #16: Click here to send — Click here to send
