How to Set Up Audience Targeted+PMP or Programmatic Guaranteed Deals in Activate

In this guide, we'll learn how to set up and manage audience targeted PMP deals and programmatic guaranteed deals using Audience Explorer and Activate. We'll walk through the steps of logging in, selecting advertisers, and configuring your audience and deals. This guide will help you understand how to publish your audience and create targeted campaigns effectively.

Publish Your Audience

Open your Merkury Audience Explorer and log in. After logging in, find the advertiser you'll be using. Then, go to the Explorer menu.

Click on "Advertiser"

Open the audience you want to target. In our demos, we typically focus on single pizza lovers.

Open it, and you'll see the total audience size. Then, click Publish.

Your Audience already selected on the left. Choose Mercury Activate, FW for Freewheel. You will see your account here, in this case, SMO, the ID for the demo account. Then, click Publish.

Type "activate"

Click on "Merkury Activate"

We won't publish this because it's already been done.

Setting Up Activate

Open the Activate app and log in.

Click on Your Advertiser
Once logged in, you'll see a list of your advertisers.

Click on your existing advertiser, and a menu on the left will show your assets.

Click on "ASSET LIBRARY"
In your assets, go to Programmatic Guaranteed.

Creating a PG Deal

Click Create new PG.

Here, you create your PG deal by entering the required information: Budget, CPM, and Supply Partner (select Freewheel). Click Save to save your PG deal.

Create a PMP

Click on "Private Marketplace"

Click Create PMP button

Enter the floor price, Supply Partner (Freewheel), and Deal ID.

Setting up the Line Item

Once your PMP or PG is set up and your audience is published, you can set up the line item in the campaign. Go to the campaign menu for your advertiser.

If a campaign is already set up, click on it.

Create a new line item.

PG Setup

Select PG to pick the PG deal you created. ere

Note that other targeting options are hidden for PG deals. Configure the remaining items, then save.

Audience Targeted PMP

For audience targeting, select your PMP.

At the bottom, a targeting section will open. Here, you can target your audience, such as "one to all customers."

Configure and save everything to have your audience-targeted PMP ready to go.
