How to Share a Link for Clients to Upload Files on Dropbox
Learn how to easily share a link with clients for uploading files to their designated folder on Dropbox. Follow our step-by-step guide to streamline your document management process.
In this guide, we'll learn how to share a link with clients for uploading their files to a designated folder using Dropbox. This process involves creating a specific folder for each client, such as "Nancy," and using the "Request Files" feature to specify document requirements and deadlines. We'll also cover how to send the link via email or copy it for direct sharing, ensuring clients can easily upload their documents.
Let's get started
Today, we'll guide you on how to share a link with clients for uploading files to their folder. First, if you're using Dropbox online, go to dropbox.com. In the finance folder, I've created a folder called "Lending Docs from Client."

For example, I created a folder with the client's name. In this case, the folder is named Nancy.

We have these options: open, request files, or share and manage. Once we click on request files, this is what appears.

We can see the purpose of the document.

I've mentioned the outstanding documents required. If we have any details for the request, we can include them.
This is a folder deadline password. Then, create.

Next, enter the client's email address, if you want to email them directly.
For example, I have entered my email here.

If you want to deliver a message, for example, you can write, "Hi Nancy, Please upload the requested documents here. Regards"

We obtain that, then we share it.
I think we will receive an email similar to this.
Once we receive the email and click here, the clients can upload it.
