In this guide, we'll learn how to use the Inventory Comparison Tool on the sfxemployees.net site. This tool helps you compare inventory data across different locations by using files from SimpleRFID and TOM. We'll cover the steps to log in, navigate to the Inventory Mashup, select the necessary files, and interpret the results. By the end, you'll be able to download a CSV file with detailed inventory variances for each location.

Let's get started

To use the Inventory Comparison Tool, first visit the sfxemployees.net site.

Click on "USERNAME"

First, log in using your username and password. Once logged in, you'll see your dashboard.

Scroll down to Inventory, then go to Inventory Mashup. If you don't have the required permissions, please let Andy or me know so we can get you the proper permissions.

Click on Inventory Mashup to load the Inventory Comparison Tool. Choose the respective files for SimpleRFID and TOM for each location. You must select all six files for the tool to function correctly. For example, for Greenwood, select the SimpleRFID file.

Click on "Choose Files" for each file type and choose all six files for TOM/RFID. Files must be unmodified, uploaded correctly for each location/program, and in CSV format. You may have to open the exported files from TOM and SimpleRFID in Excel and resave them as a CSV file type.

Click on "Compare Inventory"
Step #5: Click on "Compare Inventory"

For the Inventory Mashup Tool, select the six files for the three different locations. For Greenwood, choose the Inventory Tool and the TOM file for Greenwood. Repeat this process for Lewis and Bridgeville. Once all file locations are selected, click Compare Inventory.

The system will process the information, and you'll receive a preview of the output. You'll see 9,527 items, the variances for each location, and you can download a CSV file for that location.
