Record student attendance and submit backdated attendance corrections to keep classroom records accurate and up to date.
This guide applies to teachers and instructors recording daily attendance or updating past records for their assigned classes.
Recording Class Attendance

Click Attendance in the top action toolbar on the Class Details page.

Click the date field under the Mark Attendance section.

Select the attendance date from the calendar dropdown.

Click Present for the first student.

Click Present for the second student.

Click Present for the third student.

Click Absent for absent students.

Click Present for the remaining student.

Click Save attendance to record the entries.

Submitting a Backdated Attendance Correction
When recording or updating attendance outside the standard window, provide a reason before saving.

Click the date field to select a previous date.

Select the backdated date from the calendar picker.

Click Late to update the student's status.

Click Absent for absent students.

Click Present to adjust the status as needed.

Click Absent for the fourth student.

Click the Reason for backdated correction field.

Type the reason for updating attendance past the normal window.

Click Save attendance to finalize the backdated update.

Q: Why is a reason required when submitting attendance for past dates?
A: When attendance is recorded outside the standard recording window, the system requires an audit reason to document why the backdated entry or modification is being submitted.
