How to Prepare and Send a Template as a Sign Request in DocHub

This guide demonstrates how to select a saved template, edit its placeholder fields, and send it as a sign request in DocHub. Completing this workflow ensures you can quickly generate and dispatch customized agreements to clients or tenants.

This guide applies to property managers, administrators, and sales professionals who frequently send standardized contracts or leases for electronic signature.

Select a Template

Click Templates in the left-hand navigation menu.

Select the template you want to use, such as a Commercial Lease agreement.

When initiating a template, you can choose from several paths depending on your goal:

Option

Description

Fill a copy (only you)

Creates a personal copy of the template for you to fill out and keep.

Send a copy as a sign request

Generates a single copy to be filled and signed by designated recipients.

Bulk send a copy as a sign request

Sends individual copies to a list of multiple signers at once.

Duplicate template

Creates a new master template based on the current one.

Configure the Sign Request

Enter the signer's email address in the assigned role field.

Double-click the Suite or Unit Number field and type the correct number.
