Register and Assign a Device in Edusua
Learn how to register a new clicker device and assign it to a student in the Edusua web application.

This guide walks you through registering a new hardware device and assigning it to a student in Edusua so it can be used for classroom activities.
This workflow applies to school administrators and teachers setting up or reassigning clicker hardware at the start of a term or when introducing new equipment.
Register a Device
Navigate to the Devices page to begin registering the device.

Click + Register Device.

Type the device identifier, such as "cliker-test-24".

Click the Display Name field.

Type the display name, such as "cliker01".
Assign to a Student
Assign the hardware directly to a student record or leave it unassigned for later allocation.

Click the assignment dropdown menu currently showing Unassigned.

Click Akosua Twum to assign the device to the student.

Click Register to complete the registration.
Q: Can a device be registered without assigning it to a student immediately?
A: Yes. Leave the assignment dropdown set to Unassigned when completing registration, and you can assign it to a student later.
