Salesforce Event Notes Automation: How to Use and Benefits
Learn how to use the new event notes automation in Salesforce to track and manage event interactions effectively. Discover the benefits and key features.
In this guide, we'll learn how to utilize the new event notes automation in Salesforce. This feature allows any "Event Notes" uploaded to a record post event, to be preserved on the Notes object.
Let's get started.
To view the new event notes automation, go to any lead/contact record in Salesforce. The automation works the same for both. In order for the automation to run, the record must have attended a recent event and have notes from the booth uploaded. Any post event comments will be uploaded to the "Event Notes" field.

As you can see, this is just text information. It doesn't specify the campaign or the time when the notes were captured.
In Salesforce, we are taking information from the comments and dynamically populating it in the new Notes object.

Now you can see those exact same notes and their association with the campaign here. You can see it was the AWS summit in New York, and it will also the time when the notes are uploaded.
Now instead of seeing generic event notes and comments that could be a year old, this new flow preserves the notes on this notes object and associates them directly with the campaign and the exact time they were made. Now, people can attend multiple events, and you can see the notes history if they have any comments when they visit us at our booth.
