Learn how to systematically find privately owned garage blocks using LandWorth, PropertyData, and Google Maps, and log your findings in a tracking spreadsheet.

This guide explains how to identify blocks of garages, verify their ownership, and compile essential data for potential acquisition. You will use LandWorth to scout locations, PropertyData to check ownership details, Google Maps for coordinates and visual inspections, and Google Sheets to log your leads.
Scout Locations in LandWorth
Start by configuring your map to easily spot garage rows and blocks.

Copy the name of your target city or town

Paste the location into the LandWorth search bar and select it

Click Map Settings on the left sidebar

Select the OS MasterMap base map

Ensure 2D view is enabled and turn off the dynamic heat map to declutter the view
Systematically scan the edges of the city, moving inwards. Look for distinct rows or clusters of small rectangular structures that indicate a block of garages.

Click on a suspected garage block to reveal its location details

Copy the postcode
Analyze the Site in PropertyData
Once you have a postcode, check the title boundaries, ownership type, and unit count.
Paste the postcode into the search bar and press enter

Click on the land parcel covering the garages to load its details in the right sidebar
We are looking for blocks of 5 or more garages (though 4 is occasionally acceptable) owned by private individuals or private companies. Ignore properties owned by Housing Associations (e.g., "Curo Places").

Review the ownership type and use the analysis tool to count the number of garages on the title

Copy the Land Registry Title number
Log the Lead in Your Tracker
Transfer the data you've gathered so far into your tracking spreadsheet.

Open your Garage Block Data spreadsheet

Enter the area/town name in the first column

Paste the postcode - if listed on the property data box copy the accurate one from there

Enter the total number of garages

Enter the ownership type (e.g., Private Individual or Company)

Extract Coordinates and Inspect via Street View
Google Maps provides exact coordinates and visual clues about potential management companies.

Open Google Maps and locate the specific garage block

Right-click directly on the garages on the map

Click the coordinates at the top of the context menu to copy them

Return to your spreadsheet and paste the latitude and longitude
Next, perform a visual inspection of the site.

Drop the Street View pegman onto the road next to the garage block

Navigate around the block and inspect the doors and surrounding walls for signage
Look closely for signs from managing agents (e.g., "Dudrich Holdings"). This indicates they are likely managing or renting out the units.

Log any discovered managing agent in your spreadsheet (add a question mark if you are unsure)

Return to PropertyData and use the directional arrows to move your viewing area
Repeat this process systematically, area by area, until you have mapped all viable garage blocks in the target city.
