Unlike tools that simply capture clicks and screenshots, Glitter AI uses advanced AI to:

  • Generate instant, publish-ready content - AI transforms your raw recordings into polished step-by-step guides with properly formatted text, descriptions, and structure
  • Convert existing videos into guides - Upload any screen recording or meeting video, and AI automatically extracts steps and creates documentation
  • Transcribe and analyze in 99+ languages - Advanced speech recognition works across languages to understand your natural explanations
  • Smart redaction and sensitive data detection - AI helps identify and blur sensitive information automatically

Your Data Is Never Used for AI Training

Here's our promise: Your data stays yours.

We never have, and never will, use your content to train AI models, nor allow any third-parties to do so. This isn't a new policy or a reaction to regulations - it's a core commitment we've made from day one to every customer.

When you create guides with Glitter:

  • Your screenshots, videos, and recordings are processed solely to generate your guides
  • Your voice narration and transcripts are used only to create your documentation
  • Your content never enters any AI training pipeline - neither ours nor our providers'
  • Your data is never sold, shared, or used for any purpose beyond providing you with the service

This is a legally binding commitment in our Subscription Terms & Conditions.

Third-Party AI Providers

We use best-in-class AI services from trusted providers to power Glitter's features. Here's how we protect your data with these providers:

  • Explicit opt-out from training - We have contractually opted out of allowing any third-party AI provider to use customer data for training, fine-tuning, or improving their models
  • 30-day maximum data retention - Third-party providers delete all customer data within 30 days of processing. Most data is deleted immediately after generating your guide
  • Data Processing Agreements - Every AI provider we work with has strict DPAs that enforce these protections and limit data use to only what's necessary for processing your requests
  • No long-term storage - Your prompts, transcripts, and content don't sit in AI provider databases. They're processed and deleted

We carefully vet every AI provider we use and only work with those who meet our strict privacy standards.

On-Device Privacy Protection

For maximum privacy, Glitter's desktop app offers on-device processing for sensitive operations:

  • On-device blurring and redaction - Blur sensitive information locally on your device before anything is sent to the cloud
  • Local processing when possible - Many operations happen entirely on your machine, never sending data externally

This means you can document sensitive workflows without worrying about confidential information leaving your control.

Enterprise-Grade Security

Glitter AI is built with enterprise security standards:

  • Guides are private by default - Only you can access your guides unless you explicitly choose to share them
  • Encrypted in transit and at rest - All data is encrypted using industry-standard protocols
  • Regular security audits - We conduct ongoing security assessments and dynamic application security testing
